1. Retzlaff improvement. You’re not going to change his throwing motion or his gambler mentality, but he can improve in his touch and his ability to see the field better. That’s where they need to focus this offseason.
2. ARod’s play design is elite. I’ve said this before, though, he runs his elite plays out of very specific formations which allow good defenses to determine what is coming. If he can figure out how to add the same plays to multiple formations, the offense will end up being elite and as good as the defense this year. I would not be surprised if this is his focus this offseason.
As many others have said, this has been one of the most fun BYU seasons of my lifetime, and I’m 50. BYU winning the Natty when I was 10 was amazing. Being a student at BYU during the ‘96 season was special. Having season tickets and being able to attend so many fun games this season has been an amazing experience this year. Hopefully this ‘24 team can carry the attitude, preparation, and chemistry into the ‘25 season and have an even better year this next season.
11-2 is undeniably an incredible season none of us should be upset over. Go Cougs!!!
