Two more things are true:
1. 2024 Jake Retzlaff play is pretty much exactly on par with 2004 John Beck performance. QB progression and development isn't linear. And there have been lots of "mediocre" QB years in BYU's QB history - many of them from greats who are still developing.
2. Chase Roberts made a pretty big statement that he is betting on Retzlaff's growth in coming back - said emphatically that Jake was one of the biggest reasons he chose to return.
OK and a third:
3. We're 11-2. And probably an EOY top ten team. And a couple of our biggest wins were the result of Retzlaff's poise and moxie in late game situations.

He’s been injured. He also won us games we would have lost. You terribly undervalued what he did this year.
