Crowton may well have had both the most overrated and underrated teams in our
modern history. 2001 was cotton candy. A fun sugar rush, but no substance.
His 2004 team had enough talent to win the conference some years, but fate contrived to make them play two Top 5 teams plus a Top 15 Boise St, and they couldn't even get bowl eligible.

Maybe. But offense is certainly not top 10. Retzlaff not yet close to BYU greats. Agree defense is one of best ever. One
