It took a long time for a 16 to upset a 1, but those games are getting more and
more competitive and we've had another 16 over a 1 in the last couple of years. It seems almost yearly now a 15 upsets a 2. Heck, since 2013, two 15 seeds have gone to the Sweet 16 and another one went to the Elite Eight.
If the G6 conferences are given auto-bids for their champs, yes there will be blowouts, but college football would win over a lot of fans by being more inclusive and eventually with time they'll become more competitive.
If not, then break away because it's bogus to not include everyone in the subdivision.
