No, they shouldn’t. We don’t have to pretend like a 9-4 Jacksonville State might be the best team in the country
Same with 10-3 Ohio and Marshall. We all know that the Sun Belt, MAC, AAC, etc. all suck. So when they produce these multiple loss teams, why do we need to say, “hmmm, let’s see if Marshall can beat Ohio State” (they lost 49-14 earlier in the year) or “is Ohio as good as an SEC team?” (They lost to Kentucky 41-6).
If these teams are undefeated, sure. Let them have a shot. But while they might have the same classification, let’s not waste anyone’s time or money.
