Let Scalley take it now while everything is a mess so he has a chance to build it back the way he wants it. I seriously doubt he wants to have Whitthingham involved in HC decisions unless he really does think exactly like Whittingham. I really don't think he does and he'll want to make some changes - and making those changes will be more difficult next year. Just do it now.

I mean, what OC wants to come work there when they aren't sure how long Kyle will be the HC, or even tugging on the ear of Scalley and influencing things? I think it's potentially a very bad move for them to let Kyle hang around. Either sign him for 2 or 3 more years, or get out of it totally.

All I know is that if I'm Scalley I would prefer to get it over with now; it almost gives me an extra grace year that nobody was originally expecting I would need.
