I doubt he sees it that way. My guess is he doesn't feel it would be right
to set Scalley up for failure as a first time HC with the program currently at its lowest point in 20 years.
They have a huge departing senior class, the offense is a mess, and the first two OC candidates have spurned them. There's a lot that needs to be done and my guess is KWhitt feels like it would not be right to throw it all onto Scalley's shoulders.
