I think he's smart enough to realize that's it's not going to get better. They've lost their best recruiting advantage

over BYU. NIL is changing recruiting (and not in a positive way for the utes). NCAA and officials are cracking down on his 2 favorite cheating tools - stealing signals and calling out snap counts.

He does have a massive ego and would prefer a win over BYU but he also doesn't want to risk losing another either.
