yeah, this would be more about Whit's ego. He was planning on retiring.

If he comes back it's only because he doesn't like how this season went for his final swan song.

Problem is ... how will next year be any better? They'll likely have a bit less bad luck with injuries, and maybe get bowl eligible. But who will be OC? QB? WR? RB? There are so many holes, and who wants to join the dumpster fire? Their NIL is also a mess.
