They have a system they've been refining for over 20 years that appears to be accurate or at least offer up a good baseline. That said, with all recruiting, there is a subjective component to it and what cant often be properly assessed is internal drive of every individual. There are a lot of even 5* recruits that fail to make it to the NFL or even have an impact at the college level.
I have done a lot of analysis on this specifically over the years using their available data and am very familiar with how it all works and again, if you want to get it the inner workings of it, happy to discuss further.
