Have you seen the system at work? At recruitment combines, camps, club tournaments?
It is quite the scene and not some scientific unbiased system.
I recall talking to a coach who now is at Hawaii and he gave me very specific attributes they were looking for in a player. I asked him about star ranking and he said, “pffft”
