Our players are getting paid to play. Yes, that is EXACTLY what is happening: they are paid to play ball. These are NOT the starving "student-athletes" of yore. So, by the definition of the term "professional," our athletes, at least in the moneymaking sports of men's football and basketball, ARE professionals.

In all fairness, I think that fact has yet to sink in to a considerable number of BYU fans.
