But I think ultimately the sting or sweetness of this season won’t be fully appreciated for another season or two.

One way of looking at this season is that the success was early. Their leadership pushed the team to perform beyond the talent they had, and it brought on a successful season ahead of schedule.

Nobody is still hurting about the loss to Baylor in 1983 because of what came in 1984.

Hopefully this is the year that changes the momentum of the program. If it’s not, this year is going to sting for a long time.
