Yes, it was great season in many ways.
Did the Cougs exceed my expectations this year? Yes
Was beating Utah the one thing I hoped for most to start the season? Yes
Is being bowl-eligble again nice? Yes

It was a really good season and far, far better than last year's painful memories. All that said, I can't wash the bitter taste of the Kansas game out of my mouth, and the way we gave it all away when we held all the cards heading into the last few games of the season. It was all right in front of us for the taking. Do you know how hard it is to get to the CCG in a 16-team league? It's not that far fetched to think we may not sniff the CCG again for a decade.

So yes, I appreciate a great season but the bitterness is going to remain for a long while.
