I didn’t think I’d have to clarify “metrics actually used, not metrics that some random person threw together,” but here
we are I guess.
I will say though, you are really, really good at avoiding what my actual arguments are and creating your own to tear down.
I’m totally good with BYU beating UCF by two scores. That’s what good teams do, they beat average teams by multiple scores.
My argument this whole time has been that BYU has struggled with bad teams several times. Does it matter if BYU beats Southern Illinois 41-13 or 100-0? No. Those two outcomes don’t change perception.
BYU beating a bad Utah by 1 and a bad Oklahoma State by 3, both on last second scores, do (and should) chance perception. And so do losses against bad teams.
