BYU’s only loss is to 4-6 Kansas at home.

Ohio State’s only loss is to #1 Oregon, on the road, by one point.

Seems like a pretty obvious difference.


Ohio State vs. Boise State:

Strength of schedule is weird because there are so many different ways to do it. I assume you’re referring to Sankey’s tweet where it lists the average SOS for the CFB Top 15. Ill just use the average.

Boise State SOS: 79.7

Ohio Stats SOS: 47.7

Boise State’s SOS is ranked anywhere from 71-91. Ohio State’s is anywhere from 28-61. So even giving Boise the best possible SOS and giving Ohio State the worst possible SOS, Ohio State is ahead.
