they are the same. For a while the iPhone keyboard was absolute trash and you couldn't download a good one. And that made android the clear winner. But they finally fixed that a year or two ago. Although sometimes it will still switch back to the base iphone keyboard for no reason.

I thought Apple was going to start playing nicer as far as messaging androids went, but I guess it's still a work in progress.
