I think some probably think they are “better than BYU”, and take offers from

bigger schools to prove that. It’s almost as if BYU’s connection to the church makes them not want to come.

Because they think people would assume they only got the P4 offer because they are “the LDS prospect”. And they want everyone to know they are just a really good football player.
