RE: We dominated much of the 1st half. Two ridiculous penalties in the box
Another ridiculous performance from Big12 officials.

There was plenty of contact all along by both teams but somehow.. by some miracle??? TCU reaches the 61st minute of play before they get called for their 3rd foul of the match. This has been a pattern that started with the very first soccer match last season and has also been evident in other sports as well. The first 45 minutes were 5 fouls and 2 yellows against BYU with only 2 fouls called on TCU total. The first 15 mins. of the 2nd half were 3 fouls on BYU and ZERO on TCU which by that time was leading 1-4 on the force of 2 good plays and 2 PKS with the match essentially over. Then the whistles started and from around the 61st minute TCU was called for 13 nearly meaningless fouls that made it look as if the officiating was advantage BYU. I attended all home matches last season and saw this same sort of thing over and over. I also attended nearly every home game for BYU Women's basketball where with exceeding regularity the first 2 or 3 quarters it was simply a parade to the free-throw line for the traditional Big12 team and you could take it to the bank that later (nearing the end of the 3rd quarter usually) is when the whistles would start to blow against the visiting team who by that time had a substantial lead. The saddest part about the basketball **Fouls** is that quite a few of them were simply imaginary where NO CONTACT was made at all because you could count on the official standing on the wrong side of a play to call several of those in the first half pretty much every game. There were also a heavy sprinkling of ** Traveling** calls in many games against BYU like when a Cougar player picked up her dribble and some large woman came lumbering into her and knocked her flying .. a travel ?? What ?? A soccer match where one team plays just as physical as the other and yet manages to play 2/3rds of the match before being called for their 3rd foul? WHAT?? I never played the game but have watched enough soccer of the last decade to know for a fact that part of the game is where players commit deliberate small to moderate contact fouls fully expecting a call just simply to stop the run of play. These crews won't call most moderate to heavy contact on traditional Big12 teams in the first half.. other than rarely and forget about seeing a foul in the opponent's box!
