The dead weight of the league anymore. If they can take a couple American teams then ESPN would probably cut up their deal since only 3 of the schools that signed it would be left.
Mountain West gets 4MM now with 11 schools on the deal.
American gets 7mm with 11 (new teams are on half shares)
That’s 15 each if you consolidate it to 8 programs. Getting 8-10 isn’t out of the question given it’s carving out the “best of the rest”.
They only way they do this is if they know they’re making more money.

just checked Ute board...they are saying that if the bay schools would go back with Utah that it would be a better conf
