My T1D mother. She routinely get's in the 50's, but it's never a sudden drop.
She is very well controlled with an A1C that hovers between 5 and 5.5%. She tries to keep her sugars in the normal range of 80-120.
For clarification: She is more of a 1.5 is what some call it since she developed the antibodies that attack the pancreas late

Yeah some of these non compliant type 1 diabetics can really start to become resilient in the face of some high sugars.

Hmm good question. I’m not sure, but I’ve had some really old people in the 40s that I know were still alert.
