Mine was in the high 400s when I was admitted to the hospital for KTA
(diabetic ketoacidosis). That's how I found out that I was type 1 diabetic.
My A1C was so high that their testing machines could only report back 14+.

Yeah some of these non compliant type 1 diabetics can really start to become resilient in the face of some high sugars.

Hmm good question. I’m not sure, but I’ve had some really old people in the 40s that I know were still alert.
