We've got to be real, next big round of realignment happens ~2030-31 anyway
...may as well make the B12 as strong as possible for the next 5-6 seasons, because it's likely all changing again like a game of musical chairs when that time comes

B12 pays FSU/Clemson but BYU still makes more and gets better games? Deal.

It wreaks of small time. If we want to act like we are equal footing with P2

But we aren't on equal footing with the P2...

It’s not adding them. It’s renting them with an end to the lease in 5 years

What it's doing is killing the ACC and putting the Big 12 as the clear number 3

Jul 26, 8:04am
You can kill the ACC by grabbing teams who will stick around

Here's why you consider the rental model. Utah "rented" Urban Meyer for 2 years,

So you actually think that the Big 12 chose the four corners over UO and UW?

No, renting the other schools wasn’t an option

Your previous comment makes it sound like that's what the Big 12 did

The problem is nobody thinks we are even close to the p2

Rent them. Beat them. Make more $. Prove self. Nobody sees us as P2 anyway.
Dr MoBYU
Jul 26, 8:06am
We wouldn’t beat them. Just like the Big12 didn’t beat Oklahoma/Texas much.

Jul 26, 8:12am
Exactly. So who cares? I’d love to play those games. I’m not going to front.
Dr MoBYU
Jul 26, 8:14am
I care. We have a better path to the CFP right now. We should all care
Medute
Jul 26, 8:23am
Our chances of getting to CFP are the same with or without Clemson and FSU.
Dr MoBYU
Jul 26, 9:58am
No they are not. It’s two more teams with far more resources

Winning the B12 gets you a better seed.

That's rather delusional. We're not on the same footing as the P2.

In Brett Yormark we trust. Whatever happens, I trust he'll elevate the Big12.

That's like arguing there's more Protestant billionaires than LDS billionaires as evidence LDS people aren't successful
krindorr
Jul 26, 4:23pm
Not likely. It's more profitable for the P2 to keep paying us pennies.
