It should be obvious to everyone that every school is either in the P2 or aspires to be in the P2, even if most of them are tactful enough not to just come out and say it (unlike Utah). In your analogy, the best way an employer can get loyalty from an employee is to be their best opportunity.

Well, the only way FSU and Clemson end up in the B12 is if we're their best opportunity. And if that requires that we sweeten the pot a bit to get them to jump from the ACC, I don't see how that's bad for the B12. Even if they leave in 10 years, you don't take worse schools just because you're worried you might eventually be left in the lurch.
