that so many people have a deep hatred of the LDS faith. Sports sponsored by that faith makes it real easy to express that hatred masked through fandom. But in the end, they actually just hate the Church and are expressing anti-Mormon behavior. Poll after poll shows the Church as one of the most disliked religions in America. There are very few groups we can honestly count as true friends of the Church.
