No. The problem is not our athletes. It is our understanding of the game.
The very fact that clueless clowns who don't play the game think we can solve it by just throwing athletes at it shows that they don't really understand soccer, which requires MUCH more than athleticism.

Consider this — we don't have a player on our team that is as good as Thomas Muller at his prime (honestly, we don't have a player as good in the history of our nation). However, every single player on our current team is more athletic than Muller was in his prime. The same can be said of Mordric who was a ballon d'or winner. Soccer isn't about who has the best athletes. Athleticism is important, but it is not sufficient on its own.
