I once asked my wife what was for dinner in our first year of marriage and she
Lectures me and told me I can ask her what she is making and if there is enough for her but I can’t ask her what is for dinner because it isn’t her responsibility to make me dinner. She often does but I don’t have those expectations.
My mom growing up made dinner almost all the time. My dad had two jobs, a teacher and a farmer. So when he was home he was eating or sleeping. So it was her natural way of helping.
Tough spot, I am sure after some tough conversations you guys will figure it out.
