I really appreciate these responses. I am a full time stay at home mom, wife etc. I have 4 very busy kids, one with special needs. I am extremely busy taking care of our kids plus all their activities as well as maintaining our home. My husband works hard and I appreciate so much what he does for our family. I do my best to have dinner on the table every night, but some days it’s just near impossible to sit down at the table at eat together. On those days I usually throw in a frozen pizza and then I have to head out. There are also days where I am sick or just completely worn out and just would love to have a break, but that is not acceptable to him. He feels very unappreciated if he comes home and I don’t have a meal on the table.
I love to cook for my husband and family and sit down together. I feel it’s very important, but not always realistic. Sometimes I will get a phone call on his way home and if I have not started preparing dinner I get a very hurtful lecture and no understanding. I also have health issues that interfere at times with making a nice meal. But I truly do my best.
