Wow - when did they start charging a fee of $12 and requiring a reservation to

walk up to hanging lake? As a teenager, it was a regular stop any time we drove through Glenwood Canyon. I haven't stopped there for 15-20 years now though. Had no idea you can no longer spontaneously pull of and walk up the trail to the lake. That makes me a little bit sad.

+1 on Hotel Colorado. The Springs Lodge is also really nice, but a little pricey.

Yep. Italian Underground is probably our go-to spot. Good food, but it's more the atmosphere. Lots of other good options
