it’s not about pat specifically it’s the principle. you need somebody to bring the energy and keep the young people
engaged. it’s not about the longtime fans. the longtime fans are longtime fans because they loved college and loved their time as students when the sport was about them.
pat is the only one to do that since corso started getting too old for it. and it’s been a while. if they can find someone else that brings the energy but doesn’t annoy older people that’s great, but they haven’t shown any signs of that and pat is the first guy in the last 10 years to be even close to that.

sounds like college students. at least the ones that like to party and like sports. which is the target demo.
