way they give feedback about situations and others. If they aren't introspective about why certain situations ended poorly then it's hard to take them seriously. Because everyone participates. And sometimes the person leaving was the actual primary problem. I don't expect them to own up to that, but to acknowledge where things might have gone wrong that they participated in.
