I think for many, especially women, it’s because they’ve been unfairly marginalized and besmirched by people like us.
They’re just sweet shnookums and intolerant folks like us just hate them like we do all other marginalized groups. *Someone* needs to show them increased love to make up for it and show their own understanding and tolerance.
On the exact opposite end of the spectrum you have guys who want their dog to essentially be another weapon in their house. These are obviously the most dangerous dogs.
