For one, I think Pitbulls should be excluded from “one-bite” defense in states that allow that. If you don’t know, these
states generally don’t hold an owner accountable for their dog’s first time biting someone, unless the dog has otherwise shown aggressive or dangerous behavior.

The fact that the dog is a pitbull should count as that first indication and you should be liable for the first bite in every state.
