A 7 yo boy was attacked by a dog in our neighborhood yesterday
And I'll give you one big guess what the breed is? Yep. Another pitbull. The boy needed 47 stitches after the attack and will likely have permanent scarring on his arm and leg. Shortly after the dog owner tried pre-empting anyone saying anything about it or it happening to her or her dog by going on a bizarre rant on Facebook telling the neighbors to monitor your children and that it wasn't her dog's fault.

Her neighbor directly across the street has a Ring doorbell. The entire attack was caught on there. The kid did nothing wrong. He was innocently riding by on the sidewalk on his scooter during a beautiful Summer day. The video shows the dog just scaled the fence from their backyard and aggressively ripped the boy to the ground and began tearing into his arm and leg. Thankfully a construction worker drove around the corner in his truck and got out to assist just a few seconds after the attack began. The pitbull tried biting the construction worker when the owner of the pitbull came running out and got the dog into the backyard. The owner didn't check on the kid at all. Showed zero concern for him. She unbelievably ignored him and walked back into her house and closed the door. The bystander stayed with the boy as paramedics and police showed up a few moments later.

My 7 yo and 10 yo go by that house frequently. It could've been anybody's kid that dog went after.

I don't have any updates if the dog is being or has been removed from the home or not. Since the video was posted the crazy dog lady deleted her Facebook post.

People suck. Pitbulls suck more.
