How do you explain a dunk or a layup?
You are dribbling, pick up the ball (establishing a pivot foot - also, doesn't take into account the gather step) you then lift the pivot foot and take a step with your non-pivot foot and then elevate to dunk. In your scenario that would be a travel because they have lifted the pivot foot and taken a step with the other foot. This is literally what is happening with Jokic, but in a much slower motion

Jokic didn’t do either of those things though. He established his left foot as his pivot foot. He didn’t raise the pivot
