my guts. I have know idea of what I did to him in the previous life but it was something. I've coached basketball for 12 years and have received 8 techs and one toss. 6 of my 8 T's have been from one guy and he also tossed me. The crazy thing is I've hardly said a word to him. He's T'd me up because I was after another official. It's literally crazy how much ego this guy has.
This year he refed one of our games and my son was fouled on a jump shot right in front of him. He didn't call it and the ball went out of bounds off the other team. My son looked at me and motioned to me like he was fouled. I told him to let the ref know because I wasn't going to say a word to him. He went over and told him he was hit on the arm on the shot. Even the kid that fouled him was smiling knowing he got away with it. That piece garbage said, oh yeah you were fouled? My son, yes on the arm. Ref, stop showing me up, stop showing me up. My son I'm just letting you know I was fouled on the arm. Ref stop showing me up or I'm going to give you a T. Later in the game he called over the back on my son that was another complete trash call. I'm sure it's that way in college but in High school there's basically no repercussions on refs for my behavior or officiating.
