And one of the other refs last night (Jeb Hartness) has a history of calling
unwarranted technical fouls and was even suspended by CUSA several years ago after calling 4 techs in 1 game.
The 3rd official last night, Terry Oglesby, is actually a highly regarded official and even reffed the NC game last year.

Do we know for sure that pope has this discussion right before the tech?

Certainly could be out of context. Still weird that Pope is in the huddle, ref is walking in the other direction

Which is irrelevant to the call. But it does show a flop

He was the one who made the call on Fouss. He was looking for a reason

From that clip, it looked like he may have asked the other ref what Pope said, then T'd him up

What we need are mature and impartial refs, not emotional, immature,

So, what's the time limit on calling a technical after a matter is over? Anytime before the ball is back in play?
