Is it possible that part of her already knows? That she wants to avoid any

discussion because, even in her developmentally young mind, she feels and knows things have changed? If so, I imagine she is afraid, trying to be strong for everyone around her, and thinks by avoiding the discussion she is protecting those she loves.
