... but yes, Brett had to leave BYU. I do not know exactly why, but as the following link sort of explains, he was a very popular model and in his prime was devastatingly handsome (I say this as a 100% heterosexual male). So I can only guess, as I lost contact with Brett after he graduated from high school. I will say that I had a mission companion in Costa Rica who was from Eugene Oregon and he mentioned when Brett was at the University of Oregon my companion said Brett would come to church there and my comp got to know him in elder's quorum. Perhaps Brett was seeking redemption, I do not know.
