Maybe coach Anae told them they were too small, and BYU put little effort
into recruiting him? Or maybe like so many here have said, a bad coach like Tuiaki really does make recruits turn away.
BYU is a good destination, but I sure hope nobody has the attitude that someone who doesn't want to come "wasn't a good fit anyway. " if an LDS person doesn't want BYU, that's really a BYU problem. They can make it more appealing to people like that. Plenty of members don't want the hyper controlled environment of BYU, and BYU doesn't really HAVE to be that way.
