For example, there are a few people in my town that I see wearing Utah sweatshirts occasionally - they have zero affiliation with the church, no connection to the state, but sent their kids to Utah for college (for various reasons) and now love the school and have been blown away by how much they like the state. They love bumping into me as a now-fellow Utah fan, and talk to me about all the big games.
