Here's the big concern for the Big 12 moving forward

Here's the total viewership for the regular season for every Big 12 and PAC team for 2023

  1. Colorado 54.01M
  2. Texas 43.26M
  3. Oregon 33.81M
  4. Washington 32.69M
  5. USC 31.81M
  6. Oklahoma 28.77M
  7. Oregon St 20.86M
  8. Utah 18.31M
  9. TCU 17.06M
  10. Kansas 14.85M
  11. BYU 14.49M
  12. Oklahoma St 13.68M
  13. Iowa St 13.62M
  14. West Virginia 13.13M
  15. Washington St 12.95M
  16. UCLA 12.39M
  17. Kansas St 11.77M
  18. Texas Tech 11.13M
  19. Arizona St 7.24M
  20. UCF 7.18M
  21. Houston 6.96M
  22. Stanford 6.59M
  23. Cincinnati 5.77M
  24. Baylor 5.45M
  25. Cal 5.31M
  26. Arizona 4.69M

If you exclude Colorado as an anomaly (they had ⅔ of that viewership in the first ⅓ of their games, but dropped off precipitously afterwards and haven't generally drawn well in other years), the biggest draw going into the new Big 12 is ... Utah at #8 or TCU at #9.

The PAC teams are probably skewed a bit low (PAC12 Network suppresses total viewership), but every team remaining can also expect a drop by virtue of no longer having games against Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC, or Washington

Whatever happens, BYU needs to win and be the biggest fish possible in the B12. (DirtyWater, Nov 29, 2023 at 10:04pm)
Not sure why this topic is a big deal. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone (TempeCoug, Nov 29, 2023 at 8:57pm)
