I already explained how inflation is calculated, some categories will be higher
Some categories will be lower. 30% increase in inflation adjusted income means an overall increase of total “stuff” by 30%, which includes housing and healthcare. Repeat after me, “I have 30% more stuff than my parents did at this phase in their life on average which includes housing and healthcare”. The fact that housing and healthcare has gone up doesn’t remotely offset the overall increase in purchasing power that we currently have.
