BYU just finished 11th win a magical 1-loss season. Utah finished 11th and 10th with 4 losses. Who has brand
recognition that matters? Rankings and big games draw the viewers. Big games come from big wins.
BYU has a nice brand but it's also known for beating up on the little guys but losing to big teams.
For this, BYU has a ceiling on rankings and perception until they start beating big teams consistently.
Utah had the same ceiling but they keep pushing it higher and higher.
