If they cared about utah sports, they would attend. Don't care about Las Vegas or Pasadena, I have a friend who was a tight end a few years back complaining they had to whisper in their offensive huddle some games because the crowd was so quiet, at RES. Anybody with eyes can see that the average Denny's is pulling more customers than the Huntsman Center on game nights.
Just remember that CU and ASU brings some things that Utah doesn't: fans who aren't jack-holes to everyone; media markets not already owned by a BigXII member; and more than their one trick pony act. ASU is effectively in the pacific time zone most of the year.
I would be happy for the BigXII to just stand pat. I'm having fun just watching the Pac ship sink. It wouldn't suck to bring the AZ schools in at that point, but I'll never be in favor of an invite to the U. Reap the whirlwind.
Enjoy your academics (OVERRATED, clap, clap, clapclapclap) and your commuter school campus. Athletics are in for some belt tightening.
