That would change the creator's work. If I turn down the volume during chase scenes , or way up when they are whispering I am being unethical? The whole argument of watching it only the way the creator of the movie intended just doesn't work. Especially since most of the directors would rather have even more scenes in, but need to cut content for time, or to get a specific MPAA rating.
