Right. Unquestionably the greatest pro QB BYU has produced by a long ways. A pro career like that can overshadow his BYU
career, which leaves some to think we inflate his memory as a college player due to pro success.
I think it’s the opposite. I think some of us (myself included formerly) give somewhat less appreciation to how good he was as a cougar because of how much better he was as a pro. If he has never made it in the NFL, he’d still be on BYU’s Mount Rushmore easily based on his dominance in college.
