This is a field that people often go into without a degree after years of experience doing lower level work. I got the same job with less experience than other candidates because I had a college degree from a well-respected university. That piece of paper is absolutely worth the $30k in student loans that I accrued. It gave me an in to a great career position. I think you’re underplaying the value of said worthless degrees.
