My wife goes on a weekend with a bunch of (mostly LDS) friends once a year.
I have no issue with it and am glad she goes.
She has a friend who works for an airline who has been gone most of the last month on trips by herself or with girlfriends (Norway, New York, Vegas and Los Angeles for sure). She has two kids at home in school who are struggling. Neither my wife or I understand this.
