Give credit where credit is due. The new BMWs are luxury yachts. The Caddilacs are what BMW *WAS* in the 80's up through the early 2000s: The Ultimate Driving Machine.

BMW needed Engineers to design a "speaker sound file" for the M5's engine because the M5 was so quiet you couldn't hear the motor you paid 80k for. The electronic steering also gets horrible reviews.

The 3rd Generation CTS-V is the "Driver's Car" in every comparison test vs. the M5. This new CTS is going to blow the M5 out of the water for a cheaper price.

I have two complaints with the ATS:

1) Only the 4-popper is available with the 6-speed manual. Sorry, I'm not dropping $50k on a 4-popper.

2) The back seat is so small you hit your head on the rear glass.

Other than that, it's a driver's car.

I've heard that the only REAL BMW left is the out-going 128i. Why? Because of the naturally aspirated 6, 6 speed manual, and hydraulic steering. Everything else looks good, but the BMW soul is goooooone...
